As a Pega developer you will design, build, and maintain applications using the Pega platform to meet business requirements. You will work with business users to understand their needs and design solutions, and then develop and configure the applications. You may also provide integration, support and maintenance for existing applications.
Here are some responsibilities In your role:
- Understand requirements: Work with business users to understand their needs and design solutions that meet those needs
- Develop applications: Design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements
- Write code: Write code in Java and JavaScript programming languages
- Test and debug: Test and debug applications, and troubleshoot any issues, error codes, or bottlenecks
- Deploy applications: Deploy applications on servers
- Monitor performance: Monitor the performance of applications and make necessary changes
- Collaborate with teams: Collaborate with product owners, QA, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and work on user stories
- Participate in meetings: Participate in team meetings, such as agile ceremonies, planning sessions, and stand-up meetings
- Provide technical input: Provide technical input in team meetings and support peer review of solutions developed by team members
You should have a strong understanding of the Pegasystems application development platform and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You may also need a degree in computer science and additional qualifications like certifications in Java and object-oriented programming.
